Those who have a desire to bring in change will find novel ways to do so. This is the story of Kaushalendra Kumar, a topper of his batch of MBA from India`s premier institute, IIM-Ahmedabad, who with his scholarship money of Rs. 25,000, set out to transform the very mundane of all daily activities ` buying and selling vegetables. What he has been able to achieve through his brand Samriddhi is an inspiring story. He has created a process never heard before: of ice-cooled push carts for vending vegetables, weighed accurately, and sold with the name of the farmer and the village where it was grown. His organically grown, farm-fresh vegetables are gradually spreading in his home state, Bihar. As a true son of the soil, he has sown his education and passion into the land, to elevate the economic status of farmers. Kaushalendra Kumar dreams of building Bihar into the largest selling brand in horticulture. With the bond of trust which he has forged with the farmers and customers, and authentication of quality in his products, very soon we can expect the vegetables grown in Bihar to reach the dining tables all across the country and beyond.
